For my amusement mostly

I'm so sorry. I know we don't eat hot dogs twice a week as I did growing up. I came upon this 1971 women's day article called "putting on the Dog" I wasn't even married at this time but I kept this article for the creative spin on an every day food. Maybe you know of some healthy hot dogs and can put this to use. If not do as I am and have a good laugh at nostalgia!

I'm sorry but that is soooo disgusting! If I ever had a taste for American hotdogs before (it has to be admited there is a difference between american and european hotdogs) then I have lost it now!
What were you guys up to in the 70's? So glad I was only around for two years of that decade!
A very funny post though... leads me to wonder what people will think of our fads in 30 years time...?

Another funny hot dog thing: for Halloween or April Fools, slice hotdogs into quarters, heat in a pan of boiling water, and serve for dinner (try sticking out of mashed potatoes). They get kind of squiggly and kind of look like cooked worms.

I see dog creativity is still alive and well in Halloween worm art! Can't wait for October.
