Salmon berries grow all over the Pacific Northwest. My neighborhood is full of them if you want to see them. The surprise is that each bush can produce a different colored berry. Some bushes are salmon colored, some red, some even darker red, some are orange. They are all still the same berry. Maybe it has to do with the soil they grow in. You can eat these. Some find them too dry. In Alaska they make a good jam from them.
